GAAV Pillars of Work
GAAV’s strategy is framed by three related pillars of work:
I. Working Groups - Policy and Practice Solutions
Thematic and geographic working groups provide forums for practitioners to interact on common issues, forge solutions and build a base of best practice. Groups draw strength from diverse stakeholders representing a mix of sectors and operational levels.
II. Advocacy and Communications
GAAV’s advocacy and communications provide a united voice for AVRP practitioners to create enabling legal and policy frameworks, and disseminate best practice. Members can build collective advocacy agendas through the working groups.
III. Knowledge Exchange & Capacity Building
GAAV offers a flexible, member-driven knowledge exchange platform. This initiative will support the development of members’ technical and practical skills, as well as foster the exchange of relevant policy and programming experience. Through this model GAAV aims to provide opportunities for south-south cooperation.
