A38 is an initiative with the aim of providing access to knowledge, law and justice. Devoted to the intricate weft of concepts, subjects and fields under the ambit of International Law, A38 aspires to offer up a forum to the world of academia that would enable the creation of an environment for the furtherance of intellectual pursuits consequent to a global exchange of ideas, dissemination of information and copious debate on topical issues in International Law. It is also an initiative taken to further the overarching cause of Law: to ensure that Law is not about the law and procedure, but about Justice.

This Guinean NGO works on community development, human rights, security and small arms. ABC Development works with local communities, engaging local political leadership to influence change for peace and development. We act for peace, especially by assisting the most conflict and disaster affected communities. This means helping all people in these communities to live in safety, dignity and be able to realise their rights. We do this with partners and supporters. We seek to work ecumenically and effectively.

Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) has a central mission: to reduce harm and to rebuild lives affected by armed violence. We do this by carrying out field work, research and advocacy to reduce the incidence and impact of global armed violence. The number of fatalities from armed violence is estimated to be over half a million people killed every year. Around two thirds of these violent deaths are estimated to occur outside conflict situations.
We seek to remove the threat of weapons, monitor the impact of explosive weapons around the world and investigate what causes armed violence – from guns to suicide bombings. We aim to clear land of explosive weapons and work with governments to regulate guns.
We work with victims of armed violence, offering psychosocial assistance, providing opportunities to help them earn a living and to try to reduce conflict at local levels. We work to build communities affected by armed violence, working with governments and measuring and monitoring the incidences and impacts of armed violence around the world.
Our work is divided into three main areas: Acting on weapons, Assisting Victims and Supporting communities.
